we could not become directly conscious of higher layers because we cant process them as concepts. they might appear as random things like calamity appears to ancients
so its quite possible they exist now. we think we are the highest level of intelligence around us but that is all we can think, all we are able to process. anything with the consciousness to think will always think its at the top.
if anything appears this way- impossibly complex, multi-dimensional- to us now its the lower layers: quantum phenomena, strings,- the fabric below physics. perhaps these are manifestations of the higher layers that are both conscious of us and our enablers.”
